Studies show that expressing daily gratitude can increase your happiness level by 25%.

So, what’s stopping you from doing it? 

If in the beginning you find it difficult to conjure up what you are grateful for, have no fear. In time your list will flourish and you will be surprised by how many things you can be grateful for in your life. 

Louise Hay famously thanks her bed every morning: “Good morning, bed, thank you for being so comfortable, I love you.”

Every morning think about 5 things that you are grateful for.

The Practice:

To really benefit from creating a gratitude list, we encourage you to write your list in the exact layout below:

I AM GRATEFUL FOR [insert the object of your gratitude here]

I FEEL [insert your feeling here]


  • The first time you are thanking the object of your gratitude.
  • The second time you are thanking the Source (Universe, God, whatever is the name of your faith).
  • The third time you are thanking yourself for being able to observe your gratitude.

Grab a pen and paper and write them down in a notebook or in an email. Make it the first thing you write down in a day.

You can also email it to loved ones

AND add today’s gratitude in the FB comment box below.

Stop at each one, close your eyes, smile and feel the love, passion, and happiness of what you are grateful for. Shifting our perspective to a more feeling-oriented goal infuses us with vibrant joy and a deep appreciation for everything we have.

We also recommend that you add one more thing that you are grateful for each day. Tomorrow write 5 things you are grateful for, increasing to 10 by the 7th day, and then continue doing 10 each day.

The act of making a gratitude list must be authentic, otherwise, it loses its purpose. Don’t make a dry list of things.

Remember – it’s important to read your gratitude list daily to remind yourself of all the blessings you have in your life.

And guess what? IT WORKS!
