Four movies & documentaries that can help transform your life.

If ever there was a time to go within, get inspired, manifest joy, abundance in our lives, that time is now. Give yourself a respite from the external world’s distractions and uncertainties, and watch these inspirational films certain to lift your spirit and transform your life.

1. Brene Brown: The Call to Courage

Are you ready to choose courage over comfort? The type of courage to show up even when you cannot predict the outcome? What better time than right now.

In this documentary film, best-selling author and researcher Brene Brown takes us on a powerful journey exploring vulnerability, courage, and what it means to allow yourself to be indeed seen. With a default trigger as humans to “dress rehearse” tragedy, Ms. Brown uses humor, stories from her own life, and years of clinical research to help explain how we can reframe the stories we tell ourselves.

This reframing brings in and embraces more joy and gratitude in our lives, she says. Within minutes of watching this documentary, it is apparent why her TED Talk on vulnerability is one of the most-watched in the world.

2. The Secret: Dare to Dream

This recently released motion picture film starring Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, and Jerry O’Connell, incorporates the lessons from the groundbreaking book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, into an inspiring fictional story and a reminder of the power of manifestation.

Following the life of a widowed mother of three Miranda Wells, we journey through loss, desperation, and fear to hope, trust and love. As events begin to unfold that seem like random coincidences in Miranda’s life, she and her family start to understand that “coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.”

Interweaving the messages of the book, The Secret, this film brilliantly inspires us to manifest our dreams, recognize the power of our thoughts, and transform our thinking to create joy and abundance.

3. Infinite Potential: The Life and Ideas of David Bohm

For those of you, like me, who haven’t heard of David Bohm, he was a physicist, philosopher, and explorer of consciousness, who the Dalai Lama referred to as his “science guru,” and Einstein called his “spiritual son.” This documentary explores the life and discoveries of David Bohm, a man at the crossroads of science and spirituality.

David Bohm was a maverick and sometimes ostracized by the scientific community, a community that, at the time, refused to reconcile the theory of relativity (explaining the largest cosmic dimensions, space, time and gravity) with quantum mechanics (the properties of the microscopic world including the materials making up the human body). Bohm uncovered a new order to physics rocking the foundations set by the founding fathers of physics.

This new law described both the seen and the unseen, and the crucial element they have in common: undivided wholeness. Coming from a place of wholeness, Bohm’s life was devoted to this new way, that everything is internally related to everything else, and each part of the cosmos contains the whole of the universe, which unfolds into our perception of reality. Bohm entered into a series of conversations with Krishnamurti over 25 years, intertwining science with spirituality and consciousness.

This captivating real-life story inspires us to look beyond the veil of form to a realization of oneness present in everything.

4. Heal

This documentary film explores the mind-body connection and the power to heal through conversations with some of the leading spiritual and scientific thought leaders in the world including, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Deepak Chopra, Bruce Lipton, Peter Crone, Marianne Williamson, Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith, and Anthony Williams.

There is a natural intelligence to the world. This innate intelligence is in our cells the same way there is a natural intelligence that keeps the earth revolving around the sun. Have you ever felt like your perception of what is “real” is an illusion? Thoughts are invisible energy that shapes the world in which we live. This fascinating piece explains how a change in perspective can effectuate change in the human body, promoting wellness and healing from dis-ease.

By actively changing our perception of the external environment, we learn that we all possess the ability to change the signals we bring into our internal environment, bringing about change and possibly controlling our genetic activity.
