Content and Structure

Scott Moore Yoga Nidra Training Courses
Yoga Nidra YTT consists of Waking Up with the Yoga of Sleep and Facilitating Transformation with the Yoga of Sleep

This 50-hour program combines two courses:

  • Waking Up with the Yoga of Sleep – a foundational immersion course, introducing the ins and outs of Nidra as personal practice.

  • Facilitating Transformation with the Yoga of Sleep – a Yoga Nidra teacher training course that provides all the tools to conduct lessons and thrive as a teacher.

The course is designed to ensure that even those who have never done Nidra before have the space to familiarize themselves with the practice.

Waking Up… is a journey of self-exploration that anyone can benefit from, whether they plan on teaching or simply looking for pathways to deep awareness.

The first course serves as a solid foundation for Facilitating Transformation, the teaching part of the training. Best of all, the course is self-paced, which means you can take your time to absorb the Nidra concepts before you embark on your journey as a teacher.

Course Curriculum

Course Curriculum for Facilitating Transformation with the Yoga of Sleep

With the same warm, semi-conversational approach you encounter in the foundational course, Scott breaks down the art of teaching Yoga Nidra step by step. While you study the different elements of a Yoga Nidra class, you continue your personal practice journey.

Facilitating Transformation with the Yoga of Sleep ultimately teaches you to build your own Yoga Nidra classes from scratch, write mindful and comprehensive scripts, and use your voice and presence to empower students.

What sets this training apart is Scott’s dedication to helping you succeed. In addition to the teaching tools, there is an entire section on setting up and marketing your business.

There is even information about equipment and digital programs to help adapt your Nidra teaching to the digital age.

  • Yoga Nidra roadmap
  • Essential Nidra tools
  • Building a Yoga Nidra class
  • Yoga Nidra dyad practice
  • Sharing Nidra with the world
  • Facilitating workshops, courses, and retreats
  • Mechanisms of influence
  • Accessibility and student support

Assessment and Certification

Independent study is a large part of this course

The assessment process ensures you have fully absorbed the concepts and are ready to facilitate Yoga Nidra sessions. At the end of the training, participants have to submit a written test showing their understanding of key concepts, and a recording of themselves leading a Yoga Nidra session.

Although the course materials include a collection of Yoga Nidra scripts, trainees are encouraged to build their own classes and find their unique voices as Nidra teachers.

One of the major messages prevalent throughout the training is that every person has something special to offer to the world. Part of teaching Yoga Nidra is discovering your power and letting it shine.

There is no pressure to get it right the first time. Scott offers kind and constructive feedback to everyone. If there is a need for improvement, you can take some time to go over the training again or practice teaching.

Technical Overview

Screenshots of lectures on Teachable and one of the PDF handouts

This online Yoga Nidra course is hosted on Teachable. It is a straight-forward, user-friendly platform with integrated video lectures, audio recordings of Nidra practices, and PDF resources. All of the above is available in-browser on desktop, tablet, or phone.

The video quality was high all the way through, with an option to toggle video speed – great for non-native English speakers!

I’ve experienced no buffering issues with audio or video recordings, and downloading PDFs was a breeze.

One thing that was missing for me was closed captions for the lectures. A few times I had to rewind and watch the same video again to make sure I understood it properly. Fortunately, this is something already in the works, as well as lecture transcripts to accompany the course.
