Oh did we luck out! Marianne Williamson is moving back to New York City! Starting April 27, she will be speaking on Wednesday nights at the Middle Collegiate Church.

As yogis and spiritual seekers living in New York, we are extremely fortunate to have such a plethora of amazing teachers, communities, and centers in arms reach to help us along our path.

The arrival of Williamson’s weekly lectures and the community that will form because of them is a tremendous gift, and will be a wonderful addition to our city’s spiritual resources.

Williamson has been presenting her weekly lectures live in Los Angeles for the past 7 years. During her last regularly scheduled lecture in LA, she received not one, but two standing ovations. The auditorium was packed when the lecture started at 7:30, and it was STILL packed when it ended at 11pm, an hour and half later than usual. To have these lectures taking place in our own backyard is a HUGE deal!

Williamson’s lectures are based on the material from A Course in Miracles. Although the Course itself is not easy to read, Williamson has a way of presenting it that makes it relatable and understandable. I have found her lectures and the lessons from the Course to be wonderful additions to my yoga practice. In addition to the lecture each week, there is a group meditation, live music, and questions from the audience. This event creates a great atmosphere to meet other like-minded people.

For those of you who don’t know who she is – Google her, buy one of her books, check out one of her talks on YouTube, or just show up on the 27th. For those of you who do know who she is and are ecstatic over this tremendous opportunity, I will see you on the 27th. Lectures are also available via Livestream for free.
