If you happen to take a few days off to Lembongan, take a moment to enjoy a deep practice at the YOGA SHACK. Located in the Secret Garden Bungalow complex, the studio is welcoming and offers a wide range of classes to suit all levels of ability from beginner to advance students.
The open design of the studio allows the sea breeze to flow right through to the classes. Made entirely from natural material, the shala has been designed in an octagonal shape which represents symbolically Mother Earth and therefore provides an immediate feeling of relaxation and deep sensation of being “back to nature.”
If you plan on staying on the island for a few days, they offer simple accommodations at the Secret Garden Bungalows with standard rooms with fans and fresh cool water bathrooms. It’s perfect if you just want to roll out of bed and step onto your mat or jump in the ocean (50 meters away) before practice.
It is magical to spend a few days on Lembongan as time slows down, breathing gets deeper, and smiling becomes much easier. And if you find yourself with some post-yoga extra time, there are numerous ongoing activities to explore on the island from long walks, to drift diving, visiting the mangrove forest or seaweed farming and even surfing.
Check out their site often, as they do also offer inclusive retreats with various teachers.
