Organii organic cosmetics

The human body is a temple to be cherished and loved and everything we do has an impact on our health and on the environment around us. With this in mind, sisters Cátia and Rita Curica decided to look for healthier beauty products which are less harmful to our bodies and Mother Earth. That’s how, in 2009, these two women became pioneers in Portugal by starting the country’s first organic cosmetics store. They decided to called it ORGANII.

Chiado was the starting point. Right in the heart of Lisbon, in an area filled with so much history and stories to tell, they started selling their first non-animal-tested products, made with organic ingredients and no herbicides nor pesticides. Then, as demand increased, their business expanded and new stores opened in Príncipe Real, Saldanha, LX Factory and even in Oporto. ORGANII’s success continuted and the stores started offering more services such as waxing, manicures and massages, with the team growing bigger by the month. ORIGANII also has an online store for those curious or who want to be a part of the movement, even if they live farther away.

ORGANII offers a large variety of products, from face to body lotions, sunscreens, make-up collections, and perfumes, among others, and some of the best brands such as Mádara, Unique and Biona are available.

And ORGANII hasn’t forgotten children. The Príncipe Real store is exclusively devoted to children’s products. Toxic-free toys and lotions designed for children’s delicate skin leave parents worry-free. With these products, children learn to take care of themselves and the planet they live on from a very early age, setting up for more responsible future generations.

What started as a small family business is now an ever-growing project. Rita, Cátia and their team promise to continue to honour the challenge they have committed to. Nature has everything figured out. They just take what nature has to offer, turn it into reality, and bring that reality to you.
