German born designer, Christina Zipperlen, likes to call herself a world citizen. She is an entrepreneur and the creative force behind the jewelry brand, ANANDA Soul Creations. If you happen to meet her one day, don’t be fooled by her gentle and humble demeanor. Christina is a powerful being, running a vibrant jewelry business that is driven by her strong intention to empower women of all backgrounds and ages through the discovery of love.
Her inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, the people she meets, the places she travels to, and her current home, Bali. As a young business owner, the source of Christina’s authenticity stems from her love for yoga, spirituality and meditation. It transpires in every pieces of her collection, offering thoughtful combinations of 925 Sterling Silver, 22kt Gold Vermeil and the finest quality of precious and semi-precious gemstones.
As you browse through her site, you will discover the healing benefits of her jewelry, with items such as the Listening to my inner voice mala, which is made of Amazonite, Amethyst, Smoky Quartz and Crystal Quartz (known to calm the mind and nervous system) or the ‘Om tat sat’ engraved ring which means, “Immerse yourself in unlimited potential and saturate yourself in unconditional love”. Who would not want that?!
Christina puts a lot of emphasis on sourcing natural materials and she aims for her jewelry to be as fair trade as possible. She has worked with the same team of local craftspeople since she started her company in 2009.
Giving back is an integrated part of Christina’s business model. ANANDA Soul Creations donates 10% of their sales to The Safe Childhoods Foundation, a charity that she is personally involved with. Together, they run a project called ‘Senang Workshop’ (Senang means happy in Indonesian) that trains mothers of street children in Bali to produce some of her pieces. The Senang collection from these women will be available for sale online soon.
