OfferingTree Review from a yoga teacher’s perspective: everything you need in one place

Everyone who tried running a yoga business knows that it goes far beyond teaching classes. Even as a solo freelance yoga teacher, I have had to be my own accountant, bookkeeper, social media manager, marketing director, business strategist, receptionist, and website designer.

Between managing class bookings, schedules, payments, and online content, I racked up a collection of apps and services, each with their own interface and subscription costs. If you’re running a yoga studio, the number of tasks (and corresponding tools) increases even more.

This type of growing frustration with overly complicated or fragmented systems was part of the reason OfferingTree’s yoga business software was created in the first place. What started as a platform to help yoga teachers streamline their processes gradually evolved into a sophisticated solution for studios and wellness businesses looking to manage both online and in-person operations in one place.

Naturally, when I had the opportunity to see what this software can do, I dove in head first.

OfferingTree: software built around the realities of running a yoga business

The prime reason OfferingTree’s yoga business software stands out among its competitors is the sheer combination of functions. It includes everything you might need as a freelance teacher or a yoga studio owner. Scheduling, memberships, websites, payments, email marketing, and client management are built into a single ecosystem designed specifically for wellness professionals rather than generic businesses:

  • Website builder with presets for yoga teachers and studios
  • Sophisticated scheduling and booking system for classes and workshops
  • Payment handling with flexible payment methods and built-in POS system
  • Client management that keeps track of purchases, memberships, liability waivers, and class attendance
  • Communications system for notifications, marketing, and client retention
  • Trend tracking and analytics across different systems to help you make solid business decisions
  • AI Assistant Sprout that can answer complex questions, help you build the website, navigate the data, and compose marketing materials
  • A passionate team of developers, assistants, and customer service agents that work to improve the product and your experience

How I tested OfferingTree

I tried out the platform as a freelance yoga teacher by creating a sample class schedule, exploring booking settings, reviewing payment options, testing website/widget embedding, reviewing client management features, and speaking with OfferingTree’s co-founder about studio-level workflows.

As it stands, I could not test the platform from a studio perspective. However, during my walkthrough with co-founder Arvind Menon, I was shown various functions that would apply to single or multiple-location studios.

A platform that grew alongside the yoga industry

In my chat with Arvind Menon, a co-founder and head of product, I got to hear how the company took its root in the industry and evolved over past years.

Founded in 2018, OfferingTree arrived at a time when many yoga teachers were growing frustrated by generic systems that did not fully accommodate their business. A recurring issue with many business management platforms is that they were not originally designed for yoga studios or wellness practitioners. This meant that teachers and studio owners had to adapt their workflow to fit the software or pay for multiple unconnected services to meet the needs of their business.

OfferingTree took a different approach by building features specific to yoga professionals. Early versions focused on solo entrepreneurs and freelance yoga teachers, but over time the platform expanded to accommodate studios with more complex memberships, automation, analytics, digital products, and hybrid business models.

In 2020, OfferingTree shifted toward digital tools, when online teaching rapidly became essential across the wellness industry. Features such as Zoom integration and online course delivery became central parts of the platform’s development, allowing teachers to host virtual classes and workshops without relying on multiple disconnected services.

Today, the software supports both online and in-person offerings through integrated scheduling, booking management (including waitlists), communication systems, memberships, payments, and point-of-sale functionality.

Beyond software, OfferingTree also publishes educational resources and webinars covering marketing, pricing, client retention, community building, and wellness business growth.

Scheduling tools

The scheduling system is incredibly sophisticated and thorough. While all of these features are optional, it offers a wide range of operational controls, including:

  • booking function for classes, workshops, and courses
  • custom cut-off times and cancellation windows
  • custom class capacities and waitlists
  • no-show and late cancellation charges
  • memberships and intro offers
  • check-in feature to track attendance

Payments and POS

Naturally, the payment functionality is woven into the booking system. With OfferingTree, the studio can set their preferred payment structure and take advantage of available payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

For instance, you may expect your client to pay in advance at the time of booking a class or appointment, or allow them to pay on arrival. The flexible nature of this structure also takes into account clients who pay monthly or use “punch card” style memberships.

Finally, there is a point of sales system that allows in-studio purchases, gift cards, and more.

Website builder

You can build a website for your yoga business from scratch using OfferingTree, or embed into existing website.

In addition to yoga business tools, OfferingTree has a website builder for yoga teachers who truly want to keep everything in one place. Users can create pages directly within the platform and integrate booking tools seamlessly into the site. It offers further advantage against generic providers with a variety of templates specific to yoga and wellness professionals.

For teachers who already have a website with a different platform, OfferingTree has the option to integrate their tools as widgets. All you have to do is set the parameters, and the software generates an HTML code, which you can embed within your existing website.

To save you some time, you even get to preview how these integrations will appear as you select the settings.

Client Management: memberships, automations, and client journeys

You can monitor and manage your yoga business wherever you are in the world.

Another area where OfferingTree has expanded significantly is automation.

The platform includes systems for memberships, intro packages, renewals, reminders, and follow-up communication. You have the capacity to automate reminders when memberships are close to expiring, send milestone messages after a certain number of visits, or create prompts to promote upcoming events.

The platform also includes intake forms, waivers, and customer notes tied directly to client profiles, which may be especially relevant for private yoga sessions, therapy-informed work, or wellness consultations where more detailed information needs to be secure but accessible.

There is a relatively recent feature that tracks client journeys over time. Rather than only viewing isolated transactions, studios can monitor how students move from first visits into memberships, recurring attendance patterns, pauses, or cancellations.

For studios trying to improve retention, this kind of visibility can be useful because it shifts from simple sales metrics toward long-term client relationships.

Online courses and video libraries

One of the more interesting aspects of OfferingTree is that its evolution mirrors larger changes within the yoga and wellness space over the past decade.

For teachers building additional revenue streams, OfferingTree supports selling on-demand yoga content, such as online courses, workshops, and pre-recorded classes. With this software, you can build up an entire video library and embed it to your website directly through the platform.

“I used to teach yoga teachers how to piece together all of the various systems needed for an online business. Now I can confidently recommend OfferingTree as a solid all-in-one.”

Studio features: staff management, multiple locations, advanced booking features

Screenshot of OfferingTree set-up screen with tick boxes next to the type of offerings the user is planning to offer.
The platform is flexible enough for group classes, online courses, workshops, 1-on-1 sessions, and more.

Even as an individual yoga teacher, I sometimes struggle to keep on top of scheduling and student communications. If you run a yoga studio, the number of tasks increases tenfold.

Suddenly, you have a team of teachers, each with their own schedule and class price. You have to make sure students with a membership have the space in class yet there is room for new clients. You have to handle cancellations to make sure you have no empty yoga mats. And I can only imagine that keeping track of financial transactions is a full-time job all on its own.

While I can’t speak from personal experience, I was able to see that the OfferingTree software includes studio-specific features that would make day-today business run smoother.

For example, there is a staff portal that allows your employees and freelance instructors to manage their check-ins and waitlists. This also means that you can see trends among your staff: who has the best attendance, who attracts the most new members, etc.

As well as juggling multiple staff, there is capacity for managing up to 5 locations, great for businesses that want to expand while keeping all the data in one place.

Naturally, studios tend to have more offerings compared to solo teachers. As well as regular classes, a yoga studio is likely to host workshops, courses, teacher training, as well as juggling various membership tiers and promotions.

Reports and analytics

Reporting tools have also become a larger part of the platform’s ecosystem, particularly after expanding further into the studio market around 2022.

Users can view attendance trends, seasonal fluctuations, membership performance, popular classes, and teacher performance through detailed KPI reports. Email campaign tracking is also part of the package, allowing studios to monitor engagement and response rates over time.

Rather than manually digging through dashboards, users can also interact with the platform’s AI assistant, Sprout, to gain insights and answer business-related questions more directly.

For wellness professionals who are less comfortable interpreting raw analytics, this may reduce some of the friction typically associated with business reporting tools.

Pricing structure and value

At the time of writing this review, OfferingTree has six payment plans for users to choose from, depending on the scope of your business. Whether you are an individual teacher or a studio owner, you can choose monthly payment plans or save money by paying annually.

Along with a free trial, the option to pay monthly gave me flexibility to figure out whether this software is worth it before committing to an annual plan.

Since software pricing and feature sets can change over time, please check the latest plans and features directly on the OfferingTree’s website.

INDIVIDUAL PLANS

Plan Monthly Annual
Essentials $35/mo $312/yr
Pro $59/mo $588/yr
Pro Plus $99/mo $996/yr

User experience

After signing up for a free trial, I had a call with one of the co-founders, Arvind Menon, to show me all the available features and answer my questions. Obviously, having one-on-one time with a person who developed the product was a huge privilege but there is a dedicated team to help you get settled.

New users receive onboarding sessions during the first 30 days, with calls and emails to support them through the process. Higher-tier plans also include access to recurring office hours, although some international time zones may have fewer convenient options.

OfferingTree invest a lot of resources into their customer support beyond the initial set-up. There is also an in-platform support chat that routes inquiries through email, with response times varying depending on subscription tier. I already mentioned the AI assistant Sprout, which also has the capacity to help users troubleshoot or guide them through certain features.

For many yoga teachers, especially those migrating from another platform, onboarding and responsiveness can matter just as much as feature lists.

Design and functionality

As far as IT literacy, I fall somewhere in the middle. I am no computer genius, but I can work my way around an app.

For someone like me, the platform was fairly intuitive to use: I had no trouble adding classes to the schedule or embedding the widget to my website. The sidebar menu is similar to other website builders, which also made it easier for me to navigate.

The back-end design is clean and simple, with a splash of company colors. I think when it\s clear that OfferingTree values function over fanfare.

OFFERINGTREE IS FOR YOU IF…

  • You are a yoga teacher tired of juggling multiple platforms
  • You are a studio owner who prefers to run your business with intention
  • You want to maximize the potential of your yoga or wellness business
  • You are a coach or trainer who wants to streamline 1-on-1 bookings
  • You offer yoga, fitness, reiki, sound baths, or beauty services
  • You want to combine in-person and online offerings, live and recorded content, and manage classes, events, and courses in one place

Final verdict

OfferingTree has a sophisticated booking and scheduling system, including payment processing, check-ins, and waitlists.

Overall, I am incredibly impressed. It almost sounded too good to be true, but I went into this review with an open mind. Here’s what stood out to me most:

As a freelance professional, I appreciated the flexible payment plan structure. It was reassuring to know I don’t have to pay for features that I won’t use.

I think that while not all solo teachers would need this software, OfferingTree seems like an amazing tool for any yoga or wellness business. I even messaged a studio owner I used to work with, just to tell him how it compares to the software we used to have in-studio.

Finally, I want to note that the team working at OfferingTree has been fantastic in their communication and helpful advice.
