Mirko Betz

Born and raised in Wuerzburg, Germany, Mirko Betz's journey into creativity and self-exploration began early. With a passion for music, he spent over ten years as a DJ, igniting crowds with his eclectic soundtracks. In the mid-90s, Mirko ventured into the fashion industry, launching his own label and marking his first foray into the world of entrepreneurship. Transition to Screenwriting: In 1999, seeking new challenges and creative avenues, Mirko moved to Los Angeles. It was here that he honed his skills as a screenwriter, selling and developing screenplays that reflected his unique perspective and storytelling ability. Exploring Yoga and Mindfulness: November 2011 marked a significant turn in Mirko's career. He developed his last TV show, choosing to leave the glitter of Hollywood behind. He relocated to Tulum to immerse himself in a personal journey of yoga and mind therapy. This period was characterized by simplicity and introspection, involving activities like dishwashing, wood chopping, and living in a tent on a beach – all forming parts of his self-realization process. Innovative Workshops and Coaching: Mirko's experiences culminated in the creation of unique workshops. These sessions are a testament to his commitment to walking his talk, blending intuitive yoga with practical mind therapy. His approach is a synergy of learned theories and philosophies, shaped over 15 years of study and influenced by various gurus, including Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Marshal Rosenberg, and life experiences from everyday interactions. Mirko's Yoga and Influences: Mirko’s yoga practice is a distinctive mix, incorporating the Methods of Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg, Kinesiology by Dr. Hawkins, and Byron Katie's method of inquiry (The Work). This holistic approach is designed to be practical and applicable in daily life, aiming to foster non-violent living in action. Personal Life and Current Endeavors: Now based in Bavaria, Germany, Mirko continues his journey of exploration, both inwardly and through travel. He maintains a deep connection with yoga and mindfulness, constantly learning and evolving. His enthusiasm for meeting new people and exploring diverse places reflects his ever-curious spirit. Connect with Mirko: The best way to connect with Mirko Betz is through his Facebook Page. He remains actively engaged with his community, sharing insights, experiences, and the ongoing evolution of his work.
