Niraj Naik, an ex-pharmacist turned holistic health expert, is the founder of SOMA Breath and is internationally known as the Renegade Pharmacist. After working for several years in community pharmacies, he became disillusioned with the ineffectiveness and harmful side effects of pharmaceutical drugs. Witnessing countless clients leave with bags full of medications each month, rarely improving and often developing additional health issues, he sought a better way to achieve and maintain health.Battling Ulcerative Colitis
In 2010, Niraj was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, a stress-related illness that left him housebound for over ten months. Doctors told him there was no cure, and he would need lifelong medication. Experiencing severe side effects from his medication, Niraj felt hopeless and even suicidal. Faced with the choice of testing a new drug or undergoing surgery to remove his colon, he chose an unconventional path. He embarked on a journey of self-healing, exploring natural treatments including Ayurvedic practices, dietary changes through Paleo and Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD), meditation, yoga, self-hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and sound therapy.Holistic Healing and Transformation
