Hilary Carter

Hilary Carter is a yoga teacher and holistic wellness advocate who has been writing for many years and has touched many lives in the wellness community. With over a decade of practice on her mat and teaching others, Hilary has gone deep into the mind-body concept - the result of her classes and writing.

Early Yoga and Wellness Journey

Hilary started her yoga and wellness journey in her early twenties as a way to deal with the stress of her corporate job. Feeling unfulfilled she stumbled upon a local yoga class that changed her whole perspective on life. What began as a physical practice soon became a way of life of mindfulness, compassion and inner peace. Inspired by yoga she decided to leave her corporate career and go full time with her passion. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India where she dived into traditional Hatha and Vinyasa practices.

Further Studies

Hilary has continued to study with many teachers, deepening her knowledge of yoga philosophy, meditation and pranayama. Over the years she has completed advanced trainings including 500 hour YTT and specialized courses in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Her classes are known for being calming and inclusive, focusing on alignment, breath awareness and listening to the body. Hilary's teaching style combines traditional yogic wisdom with modern understanding making her classes suitable for all levels.

Writing for a Purpose

Off the mat Hilary is a committed writer who believes in the power of words to inspire change. She has written for various wellness magazines including YOGI TIMES where she writes on topics such as mindfulness, self care and the therapeutic benefits of yoga. Her writing is authentic, vulnerable and humorous making complex wellness concepts relatable and readable for her readers. Her first book Finding Balance: A Guide to Holistic Wellbeing is about how to integrate yoga, meditation, nutrition and self love into your daily life. Her second book is on the healing power of mindfulness and meditation.

Holistic Lifestyle Advocate

Hilary believes wellness goes beyond physical health to include emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. She runs regular workshops and retreats around the world where participants can experience holistic healing. Her retreats include yoga sessions and meditations, nature walks and nourishing plant based meals. Whether it’s a mountain retreat or an online workshop Hilary creates a safe space for people to go within and cultivate long term self love.

Community Building

Hilary loves building a community of wellness online and offline. She often collaborates with like minded people, active teachers and professionals in the holistic field to create content to inspire. She inspires others to bring wellness into their lives through her online presence. On social media she shares yoga tutorials, wellness tips, personal reflections and behind the scenes of her journey which gives her audience a sense of authenticity.

Into the Future

As she continues to grow as a teacher and writer Hilary’s purpose remains the same – to empower others to find balance and joy through mindful living. She hopes to be part of a global shift towards holistic health where self awareness and compassion are at the centre of wellbeing.
