Giselle Shardlow is the founder of Kids Yoga Stories, an innovative platform that combines yoga and mindfulness for kids. With a background in international education and a passion for well-being in young learners, Giselle has created a range of resources that tell stories through physical activity to engage children in holistic learning.Educational Background and Teaching Experience
Master’s degree in International Education. Over 10 years of teaching K-5 in Guatemala, Australia, Canada and the US. Global teaching experience has given her a deep understanding of children’s educational needs and cultural perspectives which she brings to Kids Yoga Stories.Yoga Journey and Kids Yoga Stories
Giselle started her children’s yoga journey in 2005 when she became a certified yoga instructor. Faced with a lack of resources for teaching yoga to young children, she took matters into her own hands and created her own materials. In 2012 she founded Kids Yoga Stories to provide educators and parents with tools to introduce yoga and mindfulness to kids in a fun and accessible way.Books and Resources
Award winning author of children’s books that combine storytelling with yoga poses to help kids learn and move at the same time. Titles include Rachel’s Day in the Garden, The Grateful Giraffe and Anna and Her Rainbow-Colored Yoga Mats.
