A girl who believes in magic and crazy enough to try and change the world with it. A daughter of mother earth. Born in Canada. Citizen of the world. A writer, speaker, artist, baker, wild woman, ...

Melali is a Boutique Homestay in Bukit Peninsula, near the Bingin Beach. It is the perfect place to stay out of the busy town, and still be within everything you want to discover. Located just outside the town, in a quiet area, it is a quaint sanctuary.

Owned by Australian born Elise and Liam, who dreamed of having a home that allowed other travelers to escape, and allow them to still experience the beauty of Bali – especially the surfing. They have completed their family with their friendly pooch, Dippy who does a great job making you feel welcome.

Behind large walls lies a beautiful lush garden, pristine pool, hammocks and a seating area. There are snacks and a mini fridge to choose from, including the famous Mad Pops – a Bali favorite for healthy cold treats.  If you are looking to find something unique to bring back, they have handcrafted pineapple lamps. These will never go out of style!

They have a fully serviced breakfast and lunch, with a variety of delicious vegan and vegetarians options. The smoothie bowl is very filling and the coffee, which comes with a French press that wakes you up with the delicious aroma of fresh ground. And if you’re looking to get some food for dinner – they have so kindly created a book full of the local restaurants that deliver. They have thought of everything.

With 2 double rooms and one large honeymoon suite, there is very little noise or interruption, being in a very peaceful location makes it easy to get acquainted with other guests. Elise and Liam are also more than happy to take time to chat with you when they are around. Elise and Liam also provide helpful advice if you need to get anywhere. So you won’t get lost… your room comes with a hand-drawn map with all the local hot spots (it reminded us of a treasure map!).

The rooms are clean, modern, comfortable, and the decor is the perfect blend of tropical – minimalism. Our personal favorite is the bamboo wallpaper in the bathroom and pineapple hooks that were perfectly placed throughout the room. The rooms outlook into the beautiful mountains – a perfect way to wake- up.

Melali is a quiet, sweet home for adventures in Bukit Peninsula. Elise and Liam are perfect hosts and offer the feeling of a home away from home.
