In the red-light district of SOHO sits a restaurant that makes healthy, herbal cuisine. HKFYG Organic 21, an up-and-coming restaurant with a designer-chic interior, has had me mesmerized with its variety of organic choices.
Once a social center for seniors, the restaurant now devotes its operation to raising the awareness of leading a healthy eating lifestyle. Having done a few online researches about this restaurant, I set out to try one of its signature dishes – the quinoa avocado salad. And I was nicely pleased. The avocado balanced out the acidity of the quinoa and sliced tomatoes, elevating the dish’s overall texture and taste. As the avocado is my comfort food, I was particularly impressed and pleasantly surprised when it was served with quinoa and the taste turned out quite well.
The service is a plus too. The waiters are not only nice to chat up (in the local language), their professionalism is also on par with that of any local eateries. All in all, with their food and service, I fell head over heels for them. If my schedule lets up, I’ll certainly come back and eat their food again.
