Are you looking for a peaceful green sanctuary to kick back and relax after a great day of surfing? This private guesthouse on Siargao island, situated in a tropical garden, is definitely the place for you! While relaxing in the garden you can really experience this off-the-grid feeling, even though it´s close to the busy main road.

There are four spacious beachfront bungalows which overlook the ocean. A perfect and relaxing place to spend the night; watching the sunrise from our bed was absolutely stunning!

All staff members come from the nearby village. They are very friendly, helpful and amazing cooks! Every day, they serve a health-conscious family style dinner made with fresh ingredients from the market. Guests are asked to sign up for these meals in advance. The night before our departure, we asked the staff if they could prepare us breakfast before our early morning flight. They created a fresh breakfast of fruit, yogurt and granola to keep in our fridge. Wonderful service!

Dan, the on-site manager, is a super attentive guy who strives to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You can ask him anything: where to find secret uncrowded surf breaks, available day trips, organising transport. He even woke up early in the morning to wave us goodbye; how lovely is that!

And while you´re there, don’t skip the Greenhouse Shop, accessible from the main road. They sell an amazing product line of eco-friendly custom rash guards and board shorts from recycled plastic bottles collected on Siargao Island.

Greenhouse also offers yoga classes four times a week in a serene, open air, ocean view studio in the garden. Teacher Adi, from Manila, will guide you through a  sweaty and dynamic Vinyasa flow. Listen to the sounds of the waves and the singing birds while standing in your downward-facing dog. It doesn’t get any better than that!

This place is highly recommended for families, couples and people who like to stay in serenity. Thank you, Greenhouse, we would definitely come back!
