The brainchild of English couple Mr. and Mrs. Sage, this modern take on a traditional warung-style interior combines everything we know and have come to expect from the local health-food café trend. It is offering a wealth of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The design includes rustic wooden décor and several low-seated tables to ensure a more authentic Indonesian experience for the travelling foodie in us all.

While the cuisine veers more towards the Western health-food fanatic and yogi or fitness gurus who frequent the main scene of Canggu’s Batu Bolong during the day, Café Vída’s ability to promote a healthy balanced lifestyle without restriction or loss of taste is executed with classy simplicity.

The menu is quite vast, and although it may take slightly longer than usual to order, you’ll still be tempted by every well-presented dish that emerges from the back kitchen. Herbivores will be spoiled for choice. There is an extensive drink list of speciality coffees, teas, and smoothies in addition to the broad selection of breakfast, lunch, and dessert sections of the menu. Recommendation: Try the Paleo Granola with Probiotic Coconut Yoghurt and Compote, or the Healthy Green Quinoa Bowl with the Beetroot Hummus!

Café Vída is definitely in it for the long run and one to watch in Canggu’s extensive repertoire of top class organic and health-food cafés.

Good vibes, good coffee, good music and a friendly atmosphere on top, this hub of health and foodie heaven will certainly leave you satisfied.
