Doris Schwartz is the creator and alter ego behind Yoga Yenta, the sassy self-appointed commentator on all things yoga. A management and fundraising consultant based in Los Angeles, she’s maintained a committed yoga practice for more than a dozen years, despite her inability to remember the Sanskrit name of a single posture (okay, one: shivassana). Power and Vinyasa Flow are her go-to styles but she’s dabbled in Kundalini, Bikram, Iyengar, Anusara and Yoga Booty Ballet. Her favorite pose is flying pigeon (plus other show-off arm balances) but she avoids twisting triangle at all costs.
