An internationally experienced yoga teacher, Lea is a former editor and contributing writer at Yogi Times.
Lea has taught globally at colleges and universities, studios, yoga festivals, ashrams, and in private practice. She is a graduate of the American Institute of Vedic Studies, with multiple certifications in yoga and ayurveda, and is an eRYT-500 Yoga Alliance nationally registered instructor. She has studied yoga philosophy and Hinduism through the Oxford Center for Hindu Studies, where Professor Nicholas Sutton has called her work “a significant contribution to epic studies.” Lea additionally holds a J.D. from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Comparative History of Ideas from the University of Washington.
Lea works from a strong technical foundation and years of personal practice. Her approach is inspired by direct experience and an unwavering belief in the human capacity for greatness. This translates to powerful and highly individualized training with remarkable results.
When she is not immersed in her job (which might just stand for “joy of being”), you can find her playing a friendly game of fetch or a rough game of tackle with her Bengal named 'Bhima'. Spoiler alert: He always wins.
