Yala Collective yoga holiday program is dedicated to all levels of yoga experience. Based on guided breathing practice, this program will be divided in four parts. The first part is dedicated to breathing (Pranayama) and meditation. The second part is dedicated to Asthanga / Vinyasa yoga practice. The last part consists of deep relaxation (Shavasana) enriched by a massage and live music. During the retreat you will have the opportunity to express creativity through the practice of yoga, meditation, cooking class, satsang (group discussion) and a creative workshop

The Alentejo is the largest region in Portugal. It owns a vast open countryside landscape with undulating plains, rich fertile soil and an unspoiled west coast with fantastic natural beaches. Most of the major towns are mainly relied on agriculture, livestock and wood. Typical products from this area are grain, sunflower, Carthamus, fruit, vegetables, olives, wines, cork, eucalyptus, lamb, pigs, kid, granite, schist and marble. Protected by the South West Alentejo and Costa Vicentina national park, the 100 kilometers coastline from Porto Covo in the Alentejo to Burgau in the Algarve has the most stunning view in Europe.
Nestling quietly on the banks of the Mira river, the sleepy town of Odemira is situated 20 kilometers from Alentejo coast. Major attraction in Odemira includes Wadi Emir castle build in the centre of the town, fountain in the main square, churches of Salvador, Santa Maria and windmills. Odemira is also well-known for its pottery workshop, where visitors can witness the skilful production of earthenware and other local handicrafts.
Brejão beach also known as Amália's beach where the famous Fado singer Amália Rodrigues spends long vacation at her house there. A site of great natural beauty, the beach has a small port with many fishing boats, can be hired for underwater fishing. The main attraction is at the first bay to the north with its colored stone contrasting with the sandy seabed and the southernmost tip where the seabed is composed of cracked stone slabs.
She completed her Master's degree in Contemporary Arts at Paris 8 University and a second one in Arts, Food and Culture at New York University. During her studies at NYU she lived at Manhattan’s lower east side's prime ashram - the Bhakti center. There, she studied under the supervision of Divya Alter, her Ayurvedic cooking teacher. Her inspiring yoga teachers are Linda Munro and Gérald Disse at Ashtanga yoga Paris, where she completed her 500 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training in Ashtanga yoga. Carolina's creative cooking has taken her to be at the kitchen of SOL Semilla, a Parisian 100% organic and vegan, super-food restaurant, staging at NOMA -the world's top restaurant- as well as working with the Think Food Group of José Andres in Washington D.C.
Italian architect and interior designer, Francesca expresses her creative flair in her job just as much as in everything she puts her mind to in everyday's life. Francesca has found the perfect recipe for inspiration and inner balance gleaned through her travel experiences, the practice of yoga and healthy living & eating also in terms of cultural and spiritual insight. Deeply inspired by the “Ayurvedic” values, she has recently received Diploma of creative chef of the course held by Carolina Daza at Sol Semilla. Francesca has been practicing yoga for the past ten years, starting off in Thailand where she studied Hatha Yoga in Pai and progressively refining her formation in Vinyasa yoga in India at Richikesh's Tattvaa Yoga Shala centre and in Paris with Carolina Daza, Mika de Brito and Gerard Arnauld.
Ophelie travels the world with a passport for wonder. She’s a voiceover since the age 4, sings, plays and composes, cooks (vegan, Ayurvedic, raw), practices yoga, meditation and Reïki. Her life is a spicy blend made of traveling all around the planet, creative workshops, silent retreats, energetic courses, meeting new people, discovering, and infinite possibilities life has to offer.
