Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.

Editor's Notes

India! Searching for a deeper practice, we often turn toward this colorful and dramatic country to study the ancient and sacred texts that still seem to fill the spiritual needs of our modern minds. Our writer Eric Hiss combined his first discovery of this sacred land with a deep meditation retreat and shared his impressions with us in "Passage to India.”

Gathering editorial content on India has been a great journey! Listening to the stories of our writers and the impact that India had on their life awoke in me an inner desire to go see for myself. I was especially inspired by the beautiful photography, which took even this yogini’s breath away for a moment. I imagine a sunset, the Ganges, the smell of spices, some colorful saris gracefully swirling and joyful children turning around a powerful elephant. I am sitting on top in lotus pose, smiling and writing my next Editor’s Word!
