Please use these procedures to ensure that your contribution is suitable for publication in Yogi Times.

Writers' Form 2006
Please download the form here
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES CAREFULLY. ARTICLES THAT DO NOT ADHERE TO THESE REQUIREMENTS CANNOT BE CONSIDERED.

1. Submit all articles via the Writers' Form, in Microsoft Word.

2. Most articles published in Yogi Times are between 500 and 700 words.
Articles exceeding 700 words will be considered individually and may need to be edited to fit within space constraints.

3. Use font “Times New Roman,” size 11.

4. "Left and right justify" the entire text.

5. Use only one space following a period.

6. Do not capitalize the word yoga except as part of a proper name.

7. Include a bio of 50-60 words in the space provided on the writers' form.

8. Include a by-line containing your name, website and phone number at the end of your article.

9. Complete the Writers' Form in its entirety, including the text of your article, and email it to submissions@yogitimes.com.

10. Submit a photograph of yourself using one of three formats: 1) A hard-copy print which we will scan (prints are returned upon request if you attach a self-addressed, stamped envelope); 2) High quality digital file on CD; or 3) high resolution digital file (300DPI) as a jpeg emailed to submissions@yogitimes.com. All photos will be used for our table of contents page.

Submitting your article is only the first step in the process. Please remain diligent and available to participate in the editorial process. Your patience and follow-through are greatly appreciated.

We sincerely appreciate your efforts and interest in contributing and communicating with the yoga community. As much as we respect your individuality and voice as a writer, we would also like to provide content that stays objective. We must ask you to please be open to a full and mutual editorial process with detachment and objectivity. Review, edit and spell-check your document before submitting and perhaps run it past a friend or partner. After submission, a team of several editors will review, make comments and recommend changes. Editors can be blunt in their remarks. Know that we love you and are focused on helping you produce the best possible article for our readers. As much as is reasonably possible, you will be included in the process and offered the opportunity to edit your own article and approve of or suggest alternative changes. Once your submission is received, we request that, as much as possible, communication regarding the submission occur via email to submissions@yogitimes.com.

Yogi Times reserves the right to edit articles as appropriate for space or content without prior approval following initial submission. We promise to be respectful and authentic to the writer’s voice in this process. As a community-based forum for sharing ideas and information, all editorial submissions to Yogi Times are made as donations. Once again, we sincerely appreciate your enthusiasm and interest in communicating with the yoga community through Yogi Times.
