Comparison with offline course

My 30 days of yoga training in the retreat were quite an experience. However, I learned more with the YogaRenew ytt200h course. Don’t get me wrong; I’ll explain to you why.

Language

The training course has so many new terms, especially with anatomy classes. For many students, like myself and the teachers, English is not our mother tongue.

It requires extra effort to understand the teachers’ accents, the new phrases, and the actual knowledge.

The offline course has its limitations in terms of the class schedule. One classmate from Iran dropped out after the first week because she couldn’t catch up.

With YogaRenew, I found it surprisingly easy to learn. A refreshing take on traditional methodologies, this course introduced innovative strategies that make yoga more accessible to any levels.

First, all the teachers speak excellent English. Second, there is a summary in the text after each video. I can pause it anytime I want to check the dictionary or take notes. Third, for the complicated part like yoga philosophy, the teacher Julie Pasqual is very passionate about sharing the acient story with modern examples.

Materials

Last year, from the offline course I attended, I received two black-and-white study materials (the Yoga TTC Manual & Asanas Manual). I have to say there is a lot to improve.

However, the materials on YogaRenew are more appealing.

For example,

1: All the asanas are divided by categories (warm-up poses, simple sun salutation poses, standing poses, backbends, inversions, forward bends, seated and reclined poses); it’s easier to memorise them and form a 60-minute class.

2: Yoga philosophy, anatomy, pranayama, etc., are well blended in these asana teaching videos.
They complement one another. I can use the knowledge from pranayama to improve my asana.

Flexibility

In the offline course, I had to follow a strict schedule. There are options that I could call in sick, but that means I will miss out on the class.

Sometimes, even the teachers are not in their best condition to teach. After all, we are all human beings. I believe that one critical point in yoga is to respect your body and follow your own pace.

In YogaRenew, there is no expiration date for my course. I was free to learn and practice more on the energetic days and go easy on myself on the low-mood days.

Furthermore, all the teachers give their best performance to make each video. There is also no disruption from the surroundings.

Conclusion

My experience with the YTT200h online course YogaRenew offers has been profoundly transformative.

The comprehensive curriculum, combined with the accessibility and convenience of online learning, gave me a truly immersive experience that catered to my pace and learning style.

YogaRenew’s online training platform is definitely a friendly learning channel for all levels, especially beginners and introverts.

The knowledgeable and approachable teachers create a nurturing online community that fosters meaningful connections among students from diverse backgrounds.

It provides a solid foundation for your long yoga journey ahead. Good luck and namaste!
