| At the beginning of January, the entire YOGItimes team gathered together to discuss each others resolutions; we had the assignment to return to our next meeting with a prepared list of resolutions for 2004. It was not an easy task. Often, what we want is not what we need, and if we really think about it, there is not much that we need, and so many things we think that we want. After a week of heavy reflection, we came to realize that we all had similar needs. Foremost on the list is the need for health, for without it everything else would fall apart. But also as important was the need for spending more time outside and connecting with nature, as we felt much of our time was spent inside, either practicing yoga, or working, or creating, but mostly inside four walls that often can restrain our vision and creative spirit. So, among other decisions and resolutions, we made a commitment to spend more time in the wild, on the beach, in the snow, in the water, and not wait anymore for the perfect weather or the perfect day. To be one with nature. At the approach of our first gathering and conference "YOGA FOR EVERY BODY" at the FitExpo in Pasadena, I want to encourage every yogi and yogini to experience practicing outside, close to nature, and to inspire every athlete and sports enthusiast to enhance their active lifestyle with the gift of yoga.
