Back in the O60s Dr. Shawn Miller©xs yoga repertoire was between 600-800 moves, mostly asana, but many were Karana Kriya (controlled contraction). This is the isotonic or movement aspect of Yoga. Soorya Namaskar and Nauli are examples of Karana Kriya exercises. Over the years he has found about a dozen Karana Kriya which when mastered can lead to the total control of the body.
