No thanks, I’d rather not eat
Picture this: You’re on an airplane, sandwiched between two people, you can’t look out the window and you’re unable to stretch out into the aisle. The in-flight movie is one you’ve watched a million times with your kids and there’s still 4 and a half hours left in the air. Wait, what’s that? The stewardess coming up the aisle to bring you your choice of food and beverage. Rejoice! At long last, something to pass the time away and take your mind off the predicament you’re in. Wrong, it’s yet another preheated, fat laden, tasteless meal – but then again, that’s all you can have on an airplane, isn’t it? Perhaps this was true, until the birth of Chef Akasha’s, “Eaturna.” With a kiosk inside LAX’s Terminal One, you’re able to healthily and deliciously curb your appetite by picking up any of their sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Not flying anytime soon? They also have another location at the Burbank Pavilions that has an 80-item menu. Eaturna’s food is created using organic ingredients, antibiotic- and hormone-free meats and poultry and they also have zero trans fats.

YogaHop
Congratulations to YogaHop for opening their first studio in Santa Monica, CA on June 3, 2006. YogaHop, the brainchild of Yogi and DJ himself, Matthew Reyes, presents a hybrid of Yoga and hip-hop during every class. Unlike most other yoga classes, Reyes and his staff bring about a very upbeat, high-energy practice through, “the strength poses [being] soundtracked to Eminem, Janet Jackson, 50 Cent and other strong artists, while the peaceful poses sway to Norah Jones, Sade and James Taylor. “ YogaHop offers all levels of classes through a reservation system so as to prevent waiting in lines and searching for spots.
