Going out for dinner should never be a chore, but with dietary requirements aplenty, this can often be the case. These restaurants have mastered the art of catering for all, with delicious food offerings for veggies, vegans and meat eaters alike.

HONEY & SMOKE – Great Portland Street W1W

Casual middle eastern dining from husband and wife duo Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer. The restaurant offers a set menu at £34.50 per person including a selection of mezze for the table, one grilled dish and a dessert – all of which can be made entirely vegan.

The incredibly friendly staff are more than happy to alter dishes to suit any dietary requirements. Although everything on the menu is noteworthy, the real highlight is the mezze spread. Dishes range from burnt sweet potatoes, cooked in embers and served with almond tahini, sweet date honey, and spring onions, to piping hot falafel with a crisp outer shell, paired perfectly with the creamy homemade hummus.

SUSHI SAMBA – Liverpool Street EC2N

Enjoy an eclectic blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian flavors, whilst overlooking views of the city from the 39th floor of the Heron Tower. Offering a specific vegan menu for plant-based guests, choose from small plates, robata grill, larger mains and veggie sushi rolls. Order a spread and share amongst dinner company.

The food here is more than simply delicious, each plate is handcrafted to look like a piece of art – almost too good to tuck in to. The Mae Terra deserves a special mention: baby seasonal vegetables served on a bed of creamy tofu, topped with crumbled truffle, and presented to look like the tiny veggies are sprouting out of edible soil.

L’ANTICA PIZZERIA DA MICHELE – Stoke Newington N16

Shooting to fame after watching Julia Roberts tuck in to a dreamily bubbled slice in the film Eat, Pray, Love, the First London outpost of renowned Naples pizzeria opened in early 2017. The restaurant staff pride themselves on being pizza purists, with only two permanent pizzas on the menu: marinara and margherita.

For vegan options, choose the marinara – a delicious soft base, flash cooked in a traditional Italian pizza oven, creating the perfect balance between a soft chewy crust and crunchy brown bubbles. The dish is then topped with the freshest tomatoes and seasoned with oregano and garlic. If only the queues were as short as the menu.

CHINESE LAUNDRY – Angel N1

Chinese food gets a 21st century revamp in this northern London dining room. Forget fortune cookies and crispy seaweed – expect fresh flavours and bold seasoning. Dishes range from smashed cucumbers, marinated in an umami-packed soy honey vinaigrette, to heart cabbage that has been lightly stir fried with black garlic, soy and dried chili.

The kitsch dining room is inspired by 1980s Chinese home life and the food is served banquet style to replicate a traditional Chinese dining table, where everything is to be shared. Enjoy all food with delicious rice cooked to chewy perfection.
